Film Adaptation

Congratulations! You have just won a Universal Studio's contract to direct a modern adaptation of Siddhartha that will appeal to modern teenage / young adult demographics. The studio would like you to outline the film proposal, noting the following:
1. Who would play each lead (Siddhartha, Govinda, Kamala, Siddhartha's son, Vasudeva, Kamaswami, and Buddha). Please provide for each character a) a picture of the actor you propose and b) why they would be best for the role
2. Decide on a location for shooting. Explain why this location will stay true to the themes, but make it more appealing for the audiences of today.
3. Propose two additional "modern" changes to the original novel, and explain the reasoning behind these choices.

Here Buddha is depicted in lotus position. He has a sense of calm and peace as indicated by the light blue hues and ray of light surrounding his head. The artist obviously wanted to emphasize the natural soul by placing him in a serene outdoor setting.
